In Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus commands us to “Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you.” (The Message). You might summarize this mission as to Meet them, Make them, Mark them, and Mature them.

Christian Education is, then, not an option but a mandate . . . to do our part to fulfill the church’s mandate.
